Meet Tina Maddox, Enterprise Business Intelligence, at Regions Bank. She grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana and has lived in Birmingham for 5 years. She volunteers with TechBirmingham’s 100 Girls of Code and is a leader in Birmingham Women of Tech.
What do you do at Regions Bank?
I am a Business Intelligence Analyst. My job is to take data created or collected by Regions Bank and turn it into information. The purpose of my job is to assist Regions Associates who the responsibility of Corporate Level decision making access to the information they need for the decisions which drive change and or improvement for Regions Bank
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
WatchingTurner Classic Movies, Reading, Working in the yard.
Why did you decide to volunteer with TechBirmingham?
It is a chance to have an impact on the future.
What is your perspective of today’s tech scene in Birmingham? What opportunities do you see for these future generations?
Birmingham is still new as it relates to options compared to other States in the United States.
What is one piece of advice that you would give to kids that want to pursue a career in technology?
It is ok to think outside of the box.
