TechBirmingham is supported by contributions from organizations that share its vision of technological growth for the Birmingham region. Well into our fifth year of operation, the organization receives support from such varied sources as the local governments, utility companies, the Birmingham Regional Chamber of Commerce, local banks, and service providers such as law firms. In the four years of operation, we have received generous support from both public and private entities, but have operated with minimal resources in the form of contributions ranging from $5,000 from strategic partners to larger amounts from public sources.
You are cordially invited to stake your claim in our region’s growing technology ecosystem. Each stakeholder holds the rights listed for each specific category and all rights assigned to lesser categories, as shown below. Benefits are given annually following payment and may be upgraded at any time during the year.
The Birmingham Area Technology Leadership Alliance (d/b/a) TechBirmingham is not a member organization. Only persons and organizations serving on the Board of Directors of TechBirmingham have voting rights to set policy for TechBirmingham. The term “stakeholder” is meant to include any organization (corporate or otherwise) that will benefit from a growing technology economy in the region and should not be construed to grant to a stakeholder any managerial and/or voting rights in TechBirmingham.
Recognizing that organizations have different abilities to contribute and will benefit in their own ways, TechBirmingham has established tiered levels of funding opportunities. There are three categories of sponsorship and four categories of stakeholders (depending upon company/division size).
